If I only wanted to lop off the beginning or ending it would be enough. If you wanted to remove a block of commercials for example, you would have to select the whole section before, lock it down, select the whole section after, lock it down, and then save it. I realize that sounds like it is the same thing but it's really not. Baldrick Im a MEGA Super Moderator Aug 2000 Sweden I guess you did used the mp4 container format in avidemux You could try 'fix' the cutted mp4 headers by remuxig it with mymp4boxgui, just add the mp4, then create a new mp4. I tried using VidCutter as it gets a lot of good reviews but I can't seem to figure out a way to remove sections from the middle of a video (like commercials), it only seems to let you select the sections you want to KEEP. Then you just save it and it saves super fast because it doesn't re-code the video. Machete is great because it's pretty easy to trim sections and cut and paste and move things around and you can preview it in real time. Machete can edit video and audio files in AVI, FLV, WMV, MKV, WebM, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, MOV, WMA, MP3 and WAV formats and I would like one that can do the same if possible. Such a tool features a high-speed mode to cut any part from any video with 100 original quality and with millisecond precision on both Windows and Mac. On Windows I use paid program called Machete. To trim an MP4 clip without re-encoding, I think you might as well try Joyoshare Video Cutter. Finally you've got youtube_ready.Looking for recommendations for a simple video editor that can cut and trim videos without re-encoding.it will caltulate final video length dividing () / () = in terminal run: python3 medium-to-fin.py.it takes some time to convert source*.mp4 files to one medium.mp4 enter your text areas contents if needed.in terminal run: python3 source-to-medium.py (here will be created 'medium.mp4').Put your MP3 file to project directory as 'voice.mp3'.Put your PNG transparent image to project directory as 'overlay.png'.Put your video files to project directory as 'source1.mp4', 'source2.mp4', etc.Resulting video file are ready to upload on Youtube or any PNG transparent overlay, adding text areas on video, with mp3 audio I've make this script in a try to merge any video sequence files with Overlay, text areas with mp3 audio track. The -map option makes ffmpeg only use the first video stream from the first input and the first audio stream from the second input for the output file. If you have problems with synchronization, try re-encoding audio and video: ffmpeg -i output3. If your input video already contains audio, and you want to replace it, you need to tell ffmpeg which audio stream to take: ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -i audio.wav -c:v copy -c:a aac -map 0:v:0 -map 1:a:0 output.mp4 If your output container can handle (almost) any codec – like MKV – then you can simply copy both audio and video streams: ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -i audio.wav -c copy output.mkv If your audio or video stream is longer, you can add the -shortest option so that ffmpeg will stop encoding once one file ends. See the FFmpeg Wiki: AAC Encoding Guide for more info. Visit Handbrake official site to download a copy according to your platform. You can use any other desired audio codec if you want. The above command transcodes the audio, since MP4s cannot carry PCM audio streams. Here, we assume that the video file does not contain any audio stream yet, and that you want to have the same output format (here, MP4) as the input format. It should be something to the effect of: ffmpeg -i video.mp4 -i audio.wav -c:v copy -c:a aac output.mp4 See this example, taken from this blog entry but updated for newer syntax. Basic editing features to cut, trim, rotate. Tick auto-copy option to extract audio without re-encoding. If you mean to extract the sound instead of converting video to audio, auto-copy is the feature you. so that the audio is truly extracted without re-encoding. Merging video and audio, with audio re-encoding Losslessly extract audio from MP4 video, no re-encoding needed.
